Castrol POWER1\u2019s new 3-in-1 FORMULA is engineered to perform across three critical areas: excellent power and acceleration, excellent protection, and smooth riding.<\/p>\n<p>In benchmark acceleration tests during the product\u2019s development, motorcycles using Castrol POWER1\u200b could travel eight metres further than motorcycles using a generic market oil for bikes and scooters<sup>1<\/sup>. In addition, Castrol POWER1\u200b was found to provide 50% better wear protection versus industry limits<sup>2<\/sup>, and it enabled smooth acceleration without any slips or judders<sup>3<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.anicecommunication.com\/it\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/04\/P01FC41-01-POWER1-4T-10W-40-1L-scaled.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-21590 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.anicecommunication.com\/it\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/04\/P01FC41-01-POWER1-4T-10W-40-1L-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"Castrol POWER1 4T 10W-40 1L\" width=\"140\" height=\"376\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Besides the new formulation, packaging for the Castrol POWER1 range now features <a href=\"https:\/\/www.castrol.com\/en\/global\/corporate\/about-castrol\/newsroom\/the-path-forward.html\">Castrol\u2019s refreshed brand identity<\/a> that was launched in 2023. It also includes customer-centric labelling aimed at helping consumers easily locate the right product for their motorcycle or scooter.<\/p>\n<p>The packaging for Castrol\u2019s small pack product range in Europe has been updated to use less plastic. The company\u2019s new five-litre bottle uses 20% less plastic compared to the previous five-litre bottle<sup>4<\/sup>, one of the best-selling products in the Castrol range<sup>5<\/sup>. It is expected that these measures will help to save 1,000\u00a0tonnes of plastic use in Europe on an annual basis when compared to\u00a0previous small bottle designs and aggregated across the full bottle range<sup>6<\/sup>. These new bottles were introduced in several of Castrol\u2019s key international markets, including India and China in 2019, which meant 4,000\u00a0tonnes of plastic were saved compared to the previous small bottle designs<sup>6<\/sup>.\u200b<\/p>\n<p>The introduction of the newly designed bottles is part of Castrol\u2019s delivery of its PATH360 sustainability strategy<sup>7<\/sup> that sets out aims to help save waste, reduce carbon and improve lives.<\/p>\n<p>Castrol is the world\u2019s number-one selling lubricant brand for two-wheelers<sup>8<\/sup> and is trusted by MotoGP teams Aprilia and LCR Honda.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u2013END\u2013<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong><u>Notes to Editors<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>1 &#8211; Based on the results of a 30-second acceleration test, conducted by Castrol using a motorcycle engine simulating wide open\u00a0throttle acceleration from a rolling start. Tested using a Honda CB125F at wide-open throttle for 30 seconds from a rolling start<\/em><br \/>\n<em>4 &#8211; New design launched in Europe in 2023 uses less plastic by weight &#8211; from 5% less (for one-litre bottles) to 20% less (for five-litre bottles).
