A clear majority (74%) of motorists say knowing a tyre\u2019s grip, efficiency and noise rating would influence their buying decision <\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n
Since November 2012, tyre retailers have been required by law (Regulation (EC) 1222\/2009) to inform customers about a tyre\u2019s ratings <\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
A survey commissioned by Apollo Tyres Ltd has found that a third (33%) of motorists are buying replacement tyres without understanding rating labels, which could compromise the performance and safety of their vehicle.<\/p>\n
