The presence of the KG Group Chairman at BNP Paribas’ Milan headquarters in the Il Diamante Tower marks the formalisation of the agreements
KGM, the Korean automotive brand renowned for its range of SUVs and 4x4s, has taken a key step in consolidating its presence in the Italian market through strategic partnerships with BNL BNP Paribas, Findomestic and Arval Italia – leading players in their respective fields of banking finance and mobility services.
BNL BNP Paribas will provide financing for vehicle imports; Findomestic will support KGM dealers and customers with a wide range of consumer credit and factoring solutions for private and corporate clients; while Arval, one of Europe’s leading operators in long-term rental and mobility services, will complete the offering with a variety of leasing and rental options.
To celebrate these collaborations, a meeting was held in Milan at the BNP Paribas headquarters in the Il Diamante Tower, attended by Kwak Jae-sun, Chairman of KG Group; BK Lee, General Manager of KGM and Head of Overseas Markets; Mattia Vanini, Chairman of ATFlow, KGM’s exclusive importer and distributor in Italy; and Luca Ronconi, CEO of ATFlow and Managing Director of KGM Italia, alongside the senior management of BNP Paribas, Findomestic and Arval Italia. The event formally sealed the partnership, consolidating a synergy aimed at offering customers integrated and comprehensive mobility solutions.
Kwak Jae-sun, Chairman of KG Group, stated:
“KG Group is a major Korean industrial conglomerate with 21 affiliated companies operating across 10 different sectors, including steel, finance, IT and media. In 2022, we acquired the automotive manufacturer Ssangyong, giving rise to KGMobility, with the aim of developing innovative solutions and a vehicle range focused on SUVs and pickups, leveraging our 4×4 expertise. Italy represents a strategic market for us and, thanks to ATFlow – a partner with extensive experience in the automotive industry – we are confident that we can build a significant growth path. In this respect, our partnerships with BNP Paribas, Findomestic and Arval are a key component of our European expansion strategy and reaffirm our trust in the Italian market and in ATFlow”.
Mattia Vanini, Chairman of ATFlow, commented:
“Strength lies in having reliable and experienced partners. Through BNP Paribas, via BNL, Findomestic and Arval, we have access to a robust financial platform and a comprehensive portfolio of services: from consumer credit to long-term leasing, we can offer KGM customers – whether private individuals, companies or public institutions in need of modern, efficient, and cost-effective fleet solutions – a wide-ranging, competitive and flexible vehicle acquisition and management experience. This will enable sustainable and lasting growth for the brand in the Italian market”.
Paolo Vetta, North-West Regional Director of BNL BNP Paribas, stated:
“This financing confirms the agreement whereby BNL and its partner companies are key players in supporting investments in modern, technologically advanced vehicles, in line with the innovation and safety standards required by the market. Furthermore, sustainability is a central element of our approach, with increasingly green distribution and reduced CO₂ emissions, contributing to a healthier environment and collective well-being”.
Letizia Alviano, Head of Mobility at Findomestic Banca, said:
“Today, standing alongside ATFlow in its role as KGM’s importer is a source of great pride for us and an opportunity to support the brand’s development in the Italian market. For us, being a partner means not only offering our expertise in consumer credit, but also accompanying our partners with competence and vision – transforming services into consultancy and collaboration into shared growth. We are confident that this synergy between Findomestic, ATFlow and KGM will bring tangible and positive results, driving mutual success”.
Marco Pigozzi, Retail & Partnership Director at Arval Italia, concluded:
“We are delighted to be expanding our offer with KGM vehicles, providing solutions for all customers – from individuals and freelancers to large corporations. This will allow us to better meet everyone’s specific needs. We are also grateful to strengthen our relationship with a key industry player like ATFlow, who, together with KGM, will support us in delivering valuable products and ensuring an efficient, high-quality service for our clients”.
