  • Vredestein Superpasso Pro road bike line expands with new all-season ‘4S’
  • ‘TriComp’ technology features rubber compounds of varying densities across the tread and shoulders to balance grip and stability
  • Available across Europe from 1 March 2026

Apollo Tyres Ltd is expanding its range of race-ready road bike tyres with the introduction of the Vredestein Superpasso Pro 4S, the company’s new all-season high-performance road tyre in the Superpasso Pro range. Developed to meet the needs of competitive riders, the tyre delivers control, speed and durability across challenging conditions.

Built on the platform of the Superpasso Pro, the new all-season 4S model has been engineered at Apollo Tyres’ Global R&D Centre in Europe to deliver the responsiveness and rolling efficiency of a high-performance summer tyre, combined with confidence-inspiring grip and high standards of durability and puncture-resistance for true year-round use – all without sacrificing speed or control.

Superpasso Pro 4S

The tyre incorporates Apollo Tyres’ ‘TriComp’ technology, featuring multiple rubber compounds of varying densities across different sections of the tread and shoulders. A reinforced central compound ensures low rolling resistance and long-term durability, while softer shoulder compounds enhance traction and cornering stability helping riders maintain speed and confidence in adverse conditions.

The Vredestein Superpasso Pro 4S also incorporates a tread design optimised for all-season riding. The new groove layout improves water evacuation and increases contact with the road, providing consistent handling across varying surfaces. This enhanced grip is supported by a 120 TPI casing and a strengthened ‘breaker layer’ that increases puncture protection and improves overall resilience over more technical surfaces.

The tyre retains the ‘Active Control Technology’ design originally introduced in the Superpasso Pro. By replacing traditional overlapping materials with a bridged centre structure, this design reduces weight and sharpens rider feedback, resulting in a more agile, responsive feel.

Superpasso Pro 4S

The Superpasso Pro 4S will be available across Europe from 1 March 2026 and offered in four size options (700x28C, 700x30C, 700x32C, 700x35C) to suit a wide range of road bikes.

Nic Knippers, Divisional Head, Vredestein Two Wheel Tyres, at Apollo Tyres Ltd commented: “Following the success of the new-generation Superpasso Pro, we saw a clear opportunity to create an all-season variant that would allow competitive and enthusiast riders stay on the bike longer, regardless of the weather. The Superpasso Pro 4S achieves exactly that, faithfully transmitting rider power and steering inputs to all surfaces, year-round.”
