PETRONAS Lubricants Italy: a season defined by corporate social responsibility and inclusion.
- International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women: autumn 2025 marks new milestones in the Our Road to Parity journey, with concrete initiatives and moments of discussion culminating in the in-house Live Talk on Thursday, 27th November 2025: “Respect. From Awareness to Action”, featuring contributions from Gino Cecchettin (Giulia Cecchettin Foundation), Lorenzo Gasparrini (feminist philosopher), Stefania Vivona (owner of Autofficina Vivona – PETRONAS Network), actress Caterina Pressenda, the face of the PETRONAS “Legacy” TV commercial, and moderated by Matilde D’Errico (Amore Criminale, Sopravvissute – TV Broadcast against women violence).
- Priority Parking and Lady Care Project are the latest concrete initiatives implemented across the Italian sites (Turin and Naples). They are part of a long-standing corporate welfare journey undertaken by PETRONAS Lubricants Italy and have now become an integral part of the company’s offering to employees.
PETRONAS Lubricants Italy continues to advance with determination on its path toward an increasingly inclusive and people-centred corporate culture. October and November 2025 marked a true season of corporate responsibility, shaped by tangible initiatives and awareness activities that demonstrate the company’s continuous commitment to promoting equality, inclusion and wellbeing.
After achieving the UNI/PdR 125:2022 gender equality certification and signing the Charter for Equal Opportunities and Equality at Work, PETRONAS Lubricants Italy continued to translate the values of the Our Road to Parity programme into concrete actions.
Tangible initiatives for people’s wellbeing
In October, two new corporate measures were introduced to make working environments even more welcoming and inclusive:
Priority Parking, with reserved parking spaces for pregnant employees and colleagues with specific temporary needs.
Lady Care Project, a pilot initiative launched in the Villastellone, Santena and Naples sites, which includes the installation of free dispensers offering eco-friendly feminine hygiene products. At the Turin site, women currently represent 25% of the workforce, above the national average for the Italian automotive sector.
Both initiatives share the same foundation: promoting a culture of respect toward people and their needs, fostering a workplace where care and mutual attention are encouraged. These actions add to the numerous welfare and social responsibility measures already in place, such as additional smart working for caregivers and new parents, or contracted psychological support. These are long-term, structural initiatives in which PETRONAS Lubricants Italy strongly believes and has progressively integrated into its offer to employees.
Events and engagement
Throughout the autumn season, PETRONAS Lubricants Italy actively participated in numerous events dedicated to sustainability, social responsibility and innovation.
CSR and Social Innovation Fair, Bocconi University | Circular Economy
At the CSR and Social Innovation Fair at Bocconi University in Milan, the company was represented by Ciro Lupo, Business Head Italy & Africa. As a speaker in the panel “Ecodesign, reuse and recycling: principles and benefits of the circular economy”, Lupo shared PETRONAS’ vision on the strategic role of sustainable innovation and the opportunities circularity provides for the industrial sector.
“Biodiversity and People” Conference | Sustainability
During the “Biodiversity and People” conference, organised by Apicoltura Urbana and dedicated to the value of biodiversity and human capital, Stefania Migliore, Communication & PR Specialist Italy & Africa, delivered a speech. The participation aligns with the collaboration between PETRONAS Lubricants Italy and Apicoltura Urbana, which has already led to the installation of beehives at the company site and to new social initiatives focused on ecosystem protection.
Lube Day 2025 – Federchimica | Energy Transition
At Lube Day 2025, promoted by Federchimica and centred on “Competitiveness of the industrial system Europe–Italy and the energy transition”, Fulvio Savio, Marketing Manager Italy & Africa, contributed to the panel “Responsible Innovation: from product to society”. His remarks highlighted how responsibility, sustainability and innovation drive the development of solutions that generate value for both the market and society.
“School of the Future” Panel – MAUTO National Automobile Museum | STEM
Within the “The Future Unfolds” public programme at MAUTO in Turin, attended by numerous local schools, Federico Rossotto, HR Manager Italy & Africa, joined the “School of the Future” panel. His talk focused on the values guiding the younger generations, ranging from STEM disciplines to inclusion, emphasising the company’s commitment to supporting the development of future skills.
In November, for World Kindness Day and National Tree Day, the initiative “Let’s Sow Kindness” involved local schools in Santena along with company employees. The workshop was led by Francesca Doro from Apicoltura Urbana, Nicola Iacopelli, CEO of Bee.it, and Natalia Re, President of the Movimento Italiano Gentilezza (MIG). Students, teachers and employees took part before the key moment of the day: planting new trees next to the company’s beehives— a concrete symbol of shared commitment to environmental care and positive relationships.
On the same occasion, an internal campaign was launched to emphasise the importance of respect, care and everyday acts of kindness.
Live Talk “Respect. From Awareness to Action”
This journey, launched at the beginning of 2025, reaches a new milestone on the afternoon of Thursday, 27th November 2025 with the Live Talk “Respect. From Awareness to Action”, held at the PETRONAS Global Research & Technology Centre in Santena (Turin).
Dedicated to the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the event offers an opportunity to reflect on the value of respect and the need to translate awareness into action.
Speakers include Gino Cecchettin, President of the Giulia Cecchettin Foundation; Lorenzo Gasparrini, feminist philosopher, trainer and author; Stefania Vivona, owner of Autofficina Vivona – PETRONAS Network; and actress Caterina Pressenda, the face of the PETRONAS “Legacy” TV campaign. The session will be moderated by Matilde D’Errico, writer and director of Amore Criminale and host of Sopravvissute (TV Broadcast against women violence).
The talk marks the third milestone of the “Our Road to Parity” journey—specifically the Respecting Boundaries stage—aimed at promoting a culture of respect in all its forms: toward others, toward oneself and toward everyone’s needs.
“Social responsibility is not only a corporate commitment, but a concrete way of being and living within the community. The initiatives of these months remind us that respect is the foundation of every healthy relationship and every inclusive working environment,” said Stefania Migliore, Communication & PR Specialist Italy & Africa at PETRONAS Lubricants International.
“What we are building is a cultural journey that involves every person in the company, and these initiatives allow us to reaffirm that,” added Federico Rossotto, HR Manager Italy & Africa, PLI. “The actions introduced in recent months—from Priority Parking to the Lady Care Project, and the Parity Live Talks—represent concrete steps in a commitment that must not and cannot stop. Social responsibility is not a temporary project for us, but a daily approach guiding the creation of respectful, inclusive workplaces that address people’s real needs. Every step we take is an invitation to enrich this journey together.”
Through these initiatives, PETRONAS Lubricants Italy reinforces its commitment to a business model built on responsibility, equality and sustainability, looking to the future with the awareness that the wellbeing of each person contributes to the wellbeing of all.
