Apollo Tyres Ltd is attending Eurobike 2025, Europe’s leading cycling trade fair (25-29 June; Frankfurt, Germany) to showcase the growing line-up of premium Vredestein bicycle tyres. The display, on booth 12.1 D26, will include the all-new Vredestein Superpasso Pro, the brand’s flagship premier road racing tyre, alongside an expanded portfolio of Vredestein Aventura gravel tyres.
Making its public debut following an April launch, the Superpasso Pro is the first in a new series of high-performance, competition-ready Vredestein road bike tyres. Designed in Europe, the Superpasso Pro delivers significant advancements in performance, durability and functionality over its predecessor, catering to the needs of competitive athletes and enthusiast amateur cyclists alike.
The tyre incorporates cutting-edge ‘TriComp’ and ‘Active Control’ technologies to optimise speed, grip and durability. Its advanced construction features a harder centre compound paired with a strengthened ‘breaker’ layer for reduced rolling resistance and enhanced puncture protection, while a softer shoulder compound improves cornering grip. The innovative ‘bridged’ tread design replaces the traditional overlapping centre join, making the tyre lighter, faster and more responsive.
The Superpasso Pro has undergone rigorous testing by the Netherlands-based UCI Continental team, BEAT Cycling Club, in both race and training environments, ensuring it meets the exacting demands of professional cycling.
The Vredestein tyre is now available in three sizes: 700x25C, 700x28C and 700x32C, with tubeless-ready (TLR) and tube-type options. Apollo Tyres plans to introduce additional variants of the Superpasso Pro later this year, including a four-season version engineered to deliver exceptional performance across diverse weather and road conditions.
Expanding gravel tyre range
In response to the growing popularity of gravel riding across Europe, Apollo Tyres has added multiple 50mm (50-622) options to its complete Aventura range, delivering increased comfort alongside high levels of traction and control. All of the Aventura products will be exhibited this month at Eurobike.
The Aventura has been designed to tackle everything from light gravel to rugged trails. The Aventura offers a balanced blend of speed and traction; its tread pattern including smaller knobs across the casing for consistent grip on loose surfaces while maintaining a smooth rolling feel. This makes the tyre suitable for a range of use cases, from long gravel tours to casual off-road rides.
The Aventura Seta is the fastest rolling tyre in the line-up, created for riders who want road-like efficiency without sacrificing confidence on light gravel and hardpack. With a slick, low-resistance centre tread and a more aggressive shoulder pattern, it delivers speed on the straights and grip in the corners – perfect for fast-paced mixed-surface rides or endurance gravel racing.
The Aventura Grezzo is designed for more challenging conditions and all-weather use. A tougher, denser centre tread layout helps reduce rolling resistance on firm ground, while larger, widely spaced shoulder studs help bite into mud, sand and loose dirt.
All tyres in the Aventura series are tubeless ready and available in black/black and black/transparent sidewall designs. Available sizes are: Aventura in 700x38C, 700x44C, 700x50C and 650x50B; Seta in 700x38C, 700x44C and 700x50C; and Grezzo in 700x44C, 700x50C and 650x50B; catering to a wide range of gravel riding preferences.
“The launch of the Superpasso Pro marks a major step forward in our commitment to innovation and high-performance cycling,” says Nic Knippers, Divisional Head Two Wheel Tyres at Apollo Tyres Ltd. “Like our expanded gravel range, it reflects our focus on meeting the evolving needs of riders worldwide.”
“Eurobike gives us a valuable opportunity to engage with the cycling community and gather feedback so we can continue to develop premium tyres that push the boundaries of performance, durability and versatility. It also offers a platform to discuss early-stage concepts and share our vision for future products with potential OEM partners.”
