Apollo Tyres appoints new distribution partners to expand Vredestein bicycle tyre reach in Europe.
Apollo Tyres Ltd has signed new distribution agreements for France and Scandinavia as part of a broader plan to improve the availability and visibility of its premium Vredestein bicycle tyre range across Europe.
In France, Apollo Tyres has appointed two new partners: Triangle SAS will manage distribution for urban and commuting tyres and inner tubes, while Alternativ Sport will focus on the sports segment.
Founded in 1998, Triangle SAS is a leading distributor specialising in urban mobility and cycling components. With a strong presence across all major French cities and an extensive retailer network, Triangle has begun the supply of a broad selection of Vredestein city and touring tyres, including the Perfect Tour and Dynamic City.
Alternativ Sport, renowned for its premium cycling portfolio and dedicated sales team, will supply a range of Vredestein high-performance tyres, including the Superpasso Pro and Fortezza Senso Superiore, as well as accessories and inner tubes. The company’s deep connections within the French cycling community and focus on high-end products make it an ideal distribution partner for Vredestein’s expansion in the performance segment.
In Scandinavia, Apollo Tyres has signed a strategic agreement with Cykelgear. Founded in 2008 and part of Foreman Capital since 2021, Cykelgear is a leading distributor of bicycle equipment, spare parts and accessories across Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. Handling over 700,000 orders annually, the company will offer the entire range of Vredestein bicycle tyres and inner tubes to both B2B and retail customers in the region through its sites cykelgear.dk and bikable.com.
“These new agreements are a major step in our European growth strategy for the Vredestein brand,” comments Nic Knippers, Div. Head TWT, at Apollo Tyres Ltd. “Triangle SAS, Alternativ Sport and Cykelgear are ideal partners to help us reach a broader audience of cyclists and drive long-term sales growth across France and Scandinavia, and we look forward to a successful, long-term collaboration with all three.”
Apollo Tyres’ current Vredestein TWT range caters for most cycling categories – urban, road, and gravel. The portfolio includes the recently launched Superpasso Pro, the first model in an all-new range of high-performance, competition-ready road bike tyres set to launch over the coming year. Designed for competitive racers, it features a lightweight casing, TriComp compound technology for optimal grip in various conditions and is available in both tubeless-ready and tube-type versions.
A key Vredestein product in high demand in Europe is the Aventura, a gravel bike tyre that offers a multifunctional tread pattern for off-road adventures. Tailored for riders who frequently tackle off-road trails and loose surfaces, it features a robust carcass and pronounced shoulder for superior grip. Launched alongside it, the Aventura Seta is designed for cyclists who primarily ride on asphalt but occasionally venture off-road. It features a smooth central tread for low rolling resistance and larger shoulder for grip on loose surfaces.
