PETRONAS Lubricants Italy and DR Automobiles are launching a technical and commercial collaboration for the development of lubricants dedicated to the engines of all DR brands marketed in Italy.

The agreement brings together two well-established players in the country: on one side, DR Automobiles, which since 2006 has been a key player in the national landscape, achieving significant growth with over 34,000 cars sold in 2025 and a network of more than 400 dealerships; on the other, PETRONAS Lubricants Italy, which combines Italian roots and strong local presence with a global vision and recognized technological leadership, best expressed through the Global Research & Technology Centre in Santena (Turin). This represents a unique asset in Italy within the advanced lubricants sector and a benchmark for research and development in the fluids industry.

At the heart of the Italian partnership is SELENIA DR, a 5W30 synthetic lubricant developed to meet the specific requirements of DR engines, particularly those powered by LPG, which account for approximately 80% of the brand’s vehicle registrations.

To ensure maximum efficiency and performance across all DR models, PETRONAS PARAFLU, a long-established benchmark brand in the coolant fluids segment, will also be used.

These products are the result of the joint work of the technical and engineering teams of both companies, which have developed a dedicated solution thanks to expertise and know-how built within the Italian industrial landscape.

PETRONAS products will also be used as factory fill for all vehicles produced by the Molise-based automaker, providing customers with cutting-edge lubricant and functional fluid technology.

The PETRONAS range recommended by DR Automobiles will be available nationwide starting from March 2026.
