Chery Group has signed a three-year strategic agreement with Castrol for lubricants and aftermarket products in Europe.
Chery Group, one of China’s leading vehicle exporters, has signed a three-year strategic cooperation agreement with Castrol, which will become Chery’s recommended partner for engine oils and related aftermarket products across Europe*.
Under the agreement, Castrol oils and lubricants will be used for the servicing of an increasing range of Chery Group vehicles sold in Europe, including models from the Omoda & Jaecoo brands

Through this partnership, Chery Group will recommend and promote Castrol as its strategic partner. Over time, the agreement will also include the development of new co-branded products to be distributed through the Group’s growing European dealer network.
Castrol’s full range of lubricants and ancillary products meets the current specifications of Chery Group’s passenger vehicle portfolio, including internal combustion engine, hybrid and electric vehicles. These products can help extend vehicle lifespan and maintain optimal operating conditions by improving reliability, efficiency, engine protection and overall performance.
As part of this strategic partnership, Chery Group will recommend Castrol MAGNATEC 0W-20 C5 for many of its latest models.
Castrol MAGNATEC has been developed to meet the demands of modern driving. As up to 75% of engine wear can occur during the initial stages of a journey — and continue through acceleration, braking and stopping typical of urban driving — Castrol MAGNATEC clings to critical engine components like a magnet, forming a protective layer that remains in place.

This technology delivers 50% better wear protection**, helping safeguard essential engine components, including the valve train, timing chain, pistons and bearings, reducing wear and damage over time.
Other Castrol products that will be supplied to Chery Group dealerships include the Castrol ON range of e-fluids for electric and hybrid vehicle transmissions, as well as Castrol TRANSMAX transmission fluids, Castrol Radicool coolants and Castrol React brake fluids.
Davide Busnelli, Italian Sales Director at Castrol, commented: “This new milestone achieved with Chery Group reflects Castrol’s ongoing commitment to supporting global automotive brands in their expansion across international markets. Building on a well-established partnership in China, we are proud to now support Chery Group dealerships in Europe, creating strong foundations for an increasingly close commercial and technical collaboration that will support the growth of both organisations”.
