A remarkable achievement for XPENG: the Guangzhou-based technology company has secured a double win in Auto Bild’s “Best Brands in All Classes” survey, standing out in two key areas for the brand.
XPENG was named the leading brand in the electric vehicle category and also claimed the top position for “Value for Money” in the large SUV segment. This result is even more significant considering that XPENG, founded in 2014, was participating in the survey for the first time.

Top Ranking in the Auto Bild Survey
At its first participation in the survey—following its absence in the previous edition due to its recent entry into the German market—the brand immediately ranked at the top. With 74.72% of the votes, XPENG secured first place in the “Electric Powertrain” category, outperforming major international competitors.
In the “Large SUV” segment, XPENG also achieved a class win for “Price/Performance”. The company received 58.09% of the votes, surpassing well-known premium brands. Driving this result is the flagship G9: with a wheelbase of nearly three metres, the model combines generous interior space with key brand features such as advanced charging architecture and comprehensive standard equipment.
Now in its 15th edition, the Auto Bild survey analysed the performance of the leading automotive brands in Germany. Around 50,000 readers evaluated 52 manufacturers across 14 vehicle classes and 19 criteria related to quality, design and competitiveness. XPENG was highlighted by the publication as one of the standout performers of this year’s edition.
XPENG: Advanced Architecture and Comprehensive Equipment
The G9 SUV, along with the other models in the range — the G6 SUV coupé and the P7+ sports sedan — is built on a next-generation 800-volt platform.
This architecture features a high-voltage 5C LFP battery, free from rare minerals such as cobalt and nickel, prioritising sustainability without compromising performance. XPENG models stand out for their high charging capacity: while the G9 reaches up to 525 kW, the P7+ and G6 deliver peak outputs of 446 kW and 451 kW respectively. These figures enable charging from 20% to 80% in just 12 minutes.
Another key strength is the all-inclusive specification: the options list is minimal, as the vast majority of technologies come as standard, including XPILOT driver assistance systems, electric tailgate, heat pump and dual-zone climate control with air purification.
XPENG G6 and G9 models include a 5-year or 120,000 km vehicle warranty, 5 years of roadside assistance, and an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty on the traction battery.
